CSPRNG Cryptography

High-Entropy Cryptographic Password & Passphrase Generator

Generate cryptographically strong passwords and multi-word passphrases using hardware-grade entropy. Calculate bit-strength resistance against modern GPU hash-cracking clusters.

Step-by-Step Instructions

01

Select Password Mode

Choose between random character strings (symbols, digits, mixed case) or memorable Diceware passphrases.

02

Set Desired Length

Configure length (recommended 16+ characters for critical accounts) and toggle special character sets.

03

CSPRNG Entropy Generation

The browser samples hardware random noise via window.crypto.getRandomValues().

04

Copy Secure Password

Copy your generated secret directly to your password manager with zero network transmission.

🔒 Privacy & Data Security Guarantee

Zero Network Exposure: Generated credentials exist solely in client-side RAM and are never sent across the wire.

CSPRNG Security vs. Math.random() & Bit-Entropy Math

Never generate passwords using Math.random(), which uses pseudo-random algorithms (PRNGs) like XorShift128+ that can be reverse-engineered by an adversary after observing a few outputs. Our generator exclusively uses window.crypto.getRandomValues(), a Cryptographically Secure Pseudo-Random Number Generator (CSPRNG) seeded by system kernel entropy (hardware interrupts, thermal sensors, and CPU clock drift).

Password strength is calculated in bits of entropy using Shannon's formula: E = L * log2(N), where L is password length and N is character pool size. A 16-character alphanumeric password with symbols yields ~105 bits of entropy, requiring trillions of years to brute-force on modern Hashcat GPU clusters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to generate passwords online?
Yes, because this tool runs entirely on your local machine using the native Web Cryptography API without making a single network request.
Why are passphrases (like "correct-horse-battery-staple") recommended?
Passphrases provide high mathematical entropy while remaining humanly memorable, eliminating the need to write passwords on sticky notes.
